Aerial Mukti Yoga
Aerial Mukti Yoga is a practice that fuses two traditional art forms, yoga and aerial dance. For centuries people have found freedom while flowing through yoga postures as well as dancing in the skies. All classes utilize an aerial yoga hammock that is made from a soft fabric strong enough to support our body weight (and then some). The yoga hammock is used to teach students how to align their bodies in a variety of yoga postures as well as to experience inversions without any compression on the spine! No experience in yoga or acrobatics is needed to take this class. Students of all levels are welcome!
Foundation Level Aerial Yoga
Explore detailed alignment of traditional yoga poses while using a yoga hammock that awakens and strengthens your pulling muscles. This class is geared towards beginners but is also open to more seasoned practitioners as everyone can benefit from aligning and integrating the body and mind.
Open Level Aerial Yoga
This class explores more challenging poses that develop deep flexibility and strength. Proper alignment is emphasized and variations will be offered for all levels.
Aerial Yoga Bootcamp
This is an ultimate fast-paced cardio style workout with a yoga hammock where the heart rate stays up until class ends with a Flying Savasana. This full-body strength and conditioning class will increase your metabolism so you will continue to burn calories for hours after.
Aerial Restorative Yoga
This class focuses on relaxing and resting in a low hanging hammock. This practice has both physical and emotional benefits as it helps to balance the nervous system, lower the heart rate and blood pressure, and boost the immune and endocrine systems. Each class contains zero-compression inversions, various types of spinal traction, connective tissue and joint opening poses, and a flying meditation and savasana. This is a gentle, healing practice that is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular style of life (and yoga) that we often practiced. The magic is in the transition from being on the earth to being in the air. The stability that the ground supplies you is what you have to supply for yourself in the air.
